Your partner in applying to college

At Kussick College Coaching, we believe the college application process can and should be one of discovery and expectation.  The landscape can initially appear overwhelming.

  • There are over 3,026* four year colleges and universities in the United States
  • A 4-year degree can cost up to hundreds of thousands of dollars
  • More than 30%* of students transfer, costing families and students both time and money
  • About 59%* of students at a four year institution will complete that degree in 6  years
  • 4.8* years is the average time it takes to graduate from a 4-year institution
  • The average public high school counselor serves about 450 students

Kussick College Coaching aims to beat these statistics by:

  • engaging your student in the process
  • arming them with the most current tools and information
  • coaching them to ask the right questions and to confidently take initiative each step along the way
  • identifying a balanced college list where they can best succeed:  academically, socially and financially.
  • LB did an excellent job of hearing her interest and offering up locations for her to consider... The most fabulous part of their partnership was the assistance LB provided on the college essays... LB had a magical way of providing constructive feedback in a way that my daughter could hear and respond to.
    — Julie W, parent of Freshman, Montana State Honors School
  • I walked away from each meeting feeling successful, productive...and best of all, feeling relaxed.
    — Kaia R., current HS Senior with multiple Early Action choices
  • Although we just went through the college process with our daughter, every kid is different, so it was valuable to look at it from our son’s perspective LB's knowledge, empathy, and first-hand experience provides meaningful insight into what can often be an intimidating process.
    — Michael H., parent of HS Sophomore
  • She is clearly addressing the student even though the parent may be present. The result is that the student begins to feel more open about the process, more engaged and optimistic... Of course, she is a wonderful resource too. There are so many things to consider that I hadn’t even thought of.
    — Kit H., parent

Students ultimately develop a tool box of life skills that serve as a foundation for later success, make the final college making decision easier, lead to better outcomes, and save time and money.
